Meet our Staff!
The school is staffed by highly qualified teachers and licensed by the New Jersey Division of Children and Families, Office of Licensing. Our school is participating in Grow NJ Kids, New Jersey's Quality Rating Improvement System, that assesses and increases the quality of our early care and education program.
Elizabeth ‘Bel’ Gwiazdowski
Mrs. Gwiazdowski (Mrs. G. to the children) became the Director for the Preschool in 2015. She has worked in the field of early childhood education for over 29 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and has New Jersey Teacher Certification. She also serves as Treasurer for the NJAEYC and the Somerset County Director’s Association. In her spare time she enjoys reading mysteries, trying out new recipes and spending time with her grandson.
Mrs. Lisk has been the Assistant Director at the preschool since 2007. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and over 20 years business experience. Prior to being hired she served on the preschool board in a variety of positions, including president. Both of Mrs. Lisk’s children attended the preschool and she is a member of the church. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering, traveling and reading.
Mrs. Dimock has been with the preschool since 2005 when she began teaching in the 2 ½ year old class. She then moved to teaching a 3 year old class where she still is today. Previously Mrs. Dimock served on the Preschool Board and she is also a member of the church. She holds a diploma in Psychology and has studied Early Childhood education. All three of Mrs. Dimock’s children attended the preschool. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and walking her dogs.
Mrs. Gunning has been with the preschool since 2005 when she began as a lunch bunch supervisor, classroom aide, and enrichment aide. She has also provided office support, been on the preschool board and has chaired the Children’s Consignment Sale since 2001. In 2013 she became a teacher in the 2 ½ year old class. She holds a Masters of Fine Arts in Theatre and is currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. Both of her boys attended the preschool. In her spare time she enjoys choreographing, directing and doing costumes for local schools and theatre groups, and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Kerrigan began teaching at the preschool in 2008 as a 2 ½ year old teacher, where she remains today. She previously served as a member of the preschool board in a variety of positions. Mrs. Kerrigan has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education and is a certified Teacher of the Handicapped. Both of her daughters attended the preschool. In her spare time she enjoys listening to music, playing with her dogs, attending sporting events, and being active with her family and friends.
Mrs. Lawton began teaching at the preschool in 2006 as a 4 year old teacher in the Green Triangle class, where she still teaches today. She coordinates our school-wide music sessions every Thursday and is the accompanist at all of our holiday programs. Her two daughters attended the preschool in the 90s. Mrs. Lawton has a Masters of Library and Information Science as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Math. In her spare time she loves to read and work behind the scenes in local theatre.
Mrs. Ricco began teaching the 2 ½ year old class at the preschool in 2006. For the past five years she has taught the 4 year old class. Mrs. Ricco has an Associate’s Degree from the Berkeley College of Business and worked in commercial real estate for over ten years before pursuing teaching. She is currently attending classes at Raritan Valley to obtain her certification in Early Childhood Education. She is involved in various charity events. Both of Mrs. Ricco’s children attended the preschool. She loves the beach, animals, reading and exercising. She spends her spare time with her family, these days mostly on the soccer, baseball field and basketball court.
Mrs. Rynar began teaching at the preschool in 2004. She previously was an enrichment teacher and taught the 2 ½ year old class. She is now a teacher in the 4 year old class. She also served as a member of the preschool board when her three children attended the preschool. Mrs. Rynar has a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education and is a NJ certified teacher. In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym and reading.
Mrs. Sviderskis-Carroll has been teaching a 4 year old class at the preschool since 2011. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education and is a certified teacher of Handicapped, as well as Elementary Education. Two of her four children attended the preschool. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and creating photobooks.
